The School Council Fun Run Friday 24th April 2015

On Thursday, our Sports Partnership teacher came in to lead a brilliant Dodgeball tournament. The children were in high spirits and it was very close!St Bernadette came third, St Clare and St Thomas More came joint second and St John Fisher came first with 9 points!

This week we  have also been planning our own class 'wiki' in Computing / topic lessons. I was so impressed with the research completed over Easter; the class are very knowledgeable about our local area! They will conduct further research into buildings, town planning, industries, leisure, educational facilities and much more and write their own wiki pages!

Week beginning 20.4.2015

We've had a fantastic start to the summer term! In English, Year four have been familiarising themselves with the story of The Pied Piper of Hamelin this week. We have been reading a version by Michael Morpurgo and have really enjoyed looking at the wonderful illustrations by Emma Chichester Clark!

Over the next few weeks we will be retelling the story in our own words, using the book for inspiration. The end product of the unit will be a book, which each child will have made! Alongside this, we will be reading the script of The Pied Piper for our summer production.

This week the children planned the start of the story and 'stepped through' the story, trying hard to include interesting vocabulary and time connectives to link each part of the story:
